Investigations conducted by Chinese and German technical experts show that the mainframe and parts of the carriage damaged by the fire were，“basically in good condition，” according to a spokesman with the Shanghai Maglev Transportation Development Company.
翻译“车载蓄电池”，其难点在于“车载”，报道中的onboard（storage battery）恰到好处地表达了“车载”的含义。Board常用来指“搭乘交通工具”，如We went on board the ship.（我们登上了轮船）；He boarded the bus.（他上了公共汽车）。相应的，onboard则用来形容“在车上，随车携带的”。
